Mission Statement:
The mission of Douglas Byrd Middle School is to prepare its students for the future. All students can acquire the knowledge, basic skills, and work habits necessary for them to become life long learners.  To these ends, we dedicate our time, effort, and resources.  We believe all students can learn, and we commit ourselves to ensuring that they do learn.
